The island's premier water park Waterbom is located in Kuta (5 minutes from the airport). There are lots of numerous waterslides, rides and playful games for all tastes (badminton, volleyball court, table tennis, climbing wall).
This old Boeing 737 can be found on the left side of Jalan By Pass Ngurah Rai about 500 meters from Benoa Square and right next to Dunkin’ Donuts. This place is still covered with a touch of mystery. The story began about 8 years ago. Arif, the pilot of the Garuda airline, loved aircrafts so much, so he decided to buy one of the planes in order give it a new life. He dismantled the aircraft, loaded it into containers and transported the plane from Java to a new location in Bali. The plane was to supposed to become a restaurant.
There are two abandoned aircrafts in Bukit. One of them is located near the southern coast of the Bukit Peninsula, not far from Pandawa beach. According to local residents, both planes were planned to be used as restaurants, but this plan never came to life.
Garuda Wisnu Kencana, known as GWK, is a cultural park located in a picturesque canyon on the Bukit Peninsula and has an area of 60 hectares. This beautiful and atmospheric park became one of the attractions in Bali that must be visited. It is devoted to the Hindu god Vishnu and his mount, Garuda, the mythical bird who became his companion.
Lippo Mall is a spacious and air-conditioned new shopping center, which was opened in 2014. It is located in Kartika Plaza road across the Catholic Church St. Francis Xavier. At the center atrium there is an open space that usually host many kinds of events like exhibitions, shows, competition and others.
DFS Mal Bali Galeria is a large shopping complex conveniently located at the Simpang Dewaruci landmark and roundabout in Kuta. Mal Galeria offers Matahari - a big clothing store with accessories and cosmetics, Gramedia - a bookstore, Hypermart - grocery store, and ACE hardware store. Lots of international options as H&M, Nike, Uniqlo. There is a mobile operator office for Telkomsel, where you can register a sim card. For movies, there is the Galeria 21 Cineplex, the island’s premier cinema complex. (If you live in Kuta, it may be more convenient going to the cinema at Beachwalk or Lippo Mall).
The four-story Discovery Mall is located on Jl. Kartika Plaza in South Kuta. Discovery Shopping Mall is one among the largest shopping malls in Bali and the second largest shopping hub after Kuta Beachwalk. It is located on one of Kuta’s main roads, the Jalan Kartika Plaza. Shops offer a wide variety of products, ranging from clothes and shoes to traditional souvenirs made by local craftsmen.
Beachwalk Shopping Center was opened in April 2012 and it is located right in front of the legendary Kuta Beach. This three-story building has a very has a unique architecture design with a green and open concept, creating relaxing and open atmosphere.
Berawa is one of Bali's volcanic black sand beaches. Water here is not transparent because of the sand’s color. Not ideal for swimming, but great for surfing. Normally people swim in front of the beach cafes, on the right side from the entrance. The cafes are open all day long, and it is nice to hide there with a coconut when it gets too hot. For a more sophisticated atmosphere, try the Finns Beach Club, which is located right at the beach.
