If you have already joined the Balinese tradition of ablutions melukat in holy springs, you probably already know such places as Tirta Empul and Sebatu. Tirta Empul is probably the most popular water purification site in Bali and it becomes particularly lively on the days when the Balinese come here for melukat according to Balinese calendar. Kajeng Kliwon Day is often chosen as the date. Kajeng, the third day of the three-day week, and Kliwon, the fifth day of the five-day week, are held simultaneously on this date. And it happens every 15 days.
